I used traditional storage bags and Tupperware, assuming they’d keep our food fresh.
But they trap air inside, which can contribute to spoilage and freezer burn.
So I looked into vacuum sealing, because it removes air to help food stay fresher for longer.
That sounded useful, but I pictured those big bulky machines I remembered from the 80s.
You know the ones.
They live on the counter because there's nowhere else to put them.
You have to find the roll, measure the bag, cut it, and feed it in.
By then you've made a whole project out of just putting the shopping away.
That's why I'd never bought one.
